Why WordPress
WordPress is the platform we recommend to most service businesses: you own the site, your team can edit it without a developer, and it has the strongest SEO tooling of any website platform. What makes the difference is how the site is built.
As a WordPress web design company that also runs SEO, we build every WordPress site to load fast, rank, and turn visitors into calls and form leads. The same team plans the pages, writes the theme, sets up tracking and looks after the site after launch. For the wider picture of how we design websites, see web design and development.
What is included
A theme written for your brand and your pages on a light WordPress base, not a heavy multipurpose theme with hundreds of unused options.
Editable sections in the standard WordPress editor, so your team can update text, photos, staff and blog posts, plus a handover session.
Clean URLs, one focus keyword per page, titles and descriptions, schema markup, an XML sitemap and correct robots settings before launch.
Fast loading, stable layouts and quick responses on real phones, tested on every template before launch.
Color contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text and clear form labels, aiming at WCAG 2.2 AA.
Contact and booking forms, call and form tracking in Google Analytics 4, and connections to your CRM, scheduling or practice software.
Custom theme vs page builder
Page builders make it easy to drag sections around, but they load far more code than most pages need and tie your design to one plugin. We build custom themes because they are faster and easier to keep secure, while your team keeps simple editing.
| Page builder site | Cyberset custom theme | |
|---|---|---|
| Code loaded on each page | Builder scripts and styles on every page | Only what the page uses |
| Editing | Drag and drop, easy to break the layout | Editable sections, layout stays consistent |
| Plugins | Builder plus add-on packs | Proven essentials only |
| Updates | Builder updates can change or break layouts | Theme changes only when we change it |
| Leaving the builder | Content locked in builder shortcodes | Standard WordPress content |
Our process
Your goals, customers and services, and what your current site does well or badly, using its analytics and Search Console data.
Every page, its purpose and its keyword, agreed before design starts.
Desktop, tablet and phone layouts in your brand, reviewed with you until they are right.
Theme development on a private staging site, with speed, accessibility, form and tracking checks on every template.
Redirects, analytics and Search Console checks on launch day, then a training session so your team can edit with confidence.
Redesigns and moves
Whether you are redesigning an old WordPress site, leaving a page builder or moving from Wix or Squarespace, the risk is the same: changed URLs and missing pages can wipe out years of search traffic. Every move we run follows a written plan:
After launch
WordPress needs regular care to stay fast and secure. Our care plans cover WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, security monitoring and firewall rules, backups, uptime checks, small content changes and a monthly check of speed and errors. One team to call, and no surprises when an update lands. We also explain each WordPress release in plain English in our WordPress News.

FAQ
WordPress is open source, so you own the site and can move it to any host or developer. It has mature SEO tooling, thousands of proven integrations, and an editor your team can learn in an afternoon. When another platform fits a project better, such as Shopify for a product store, we say so.
Not for new builds. We write a custom theme on a light base, so each page loads only the code it needs. Your team still edits text, images, team members and blog posts in the normal WordPress editor. If you have a page-builder site today, we can audit it and tell you whether to keep it, improve it or rebuild it.
Yes. Pages are built from editable sections, and we train your team at handover. Most clients change text, photos, staff and posts on their own and call us only for new features.
It depends on the number of pages and templates, custom features, integrations and how much content we write. We do not publish package prices because two "10-page websites" can be very different projects. After a short call you get a written, fixed-scope proposal.
As few as possible. Every plugin is code that needs updates and can conflict with others, so we build common features into the theme and keep plugins to proven essentials such as SEO, security and forms.
Yes. We move the content, rebuild the design in WordPress and map every old URL to its new page with permanent redirects, so you keep the search rankings you already have.
Yes. Our care plans cover WordPress, theme and plugin updates, security monitoring, backups, uptime checks and small content changes. See the care plan section above.
